I'm a backend engineer with 8 years of experience building and maintaining production systems.

My work focuses on APIs, asynchronous processing, and the parts of systems that move data and keep things running, including background jobs and service integrations.

Most of that experience comes from working on large, long-running codebases: maintaining existing services, adding new functionality, and dealing with the technical debt that naturally accumulates in systems that have been in production for years.

Developing backend services and APIs for a production SaaS platform, working across core APIs, integrations, and internal systems that support daily operations.

  • Migrated a large legacy PHP codebase from PHP 5.5 to PHP 8.2 while maintaining a live production system.
  • Designed and maintained API-driven backend systems used by internal tools and external integrations
  • Introduced asynchronous workflows and background job processing for tasks unsuitable for request cycles
